Survival training

Survival Training; We’ve had a busy day in the woods today teaching year 5 & 6 from Scholar Green Primary School the basics of survival. We covered;

  • shelter – why & how to build it,
  • fire & several ways of making it,
  • water – where & how to purify it,
  • navigation – solar, stellar, natural & compass navigation including pacing.

Certainly a full 4 hours & given that it was just 9 degrees with a Beaufort scale 3 breeze, it made the kids work extra hard at shelter building! Here are some photos of the kids in action;
