Where are you?
Our venue is located amongst 24 acres of mixed woodland & heathland & is located just outside Goostrey in Cheshire. We’re just 3.5 miles away from Junction 18 of the M6, which provides the easiest of access while retaining that wilderness feeling. Venue directions are emailed to you after you make your booking.
We have two composting toilets at the venue; a “stand up” toilet & a “sit down” toilet (the latter also including a urine separator). These are situated centrally within the woods, less than a minutes walk from the main camp area & the woodland classroom areas.
What do you do if it rains? Is there an indoor area?
Everything we do is outdoors. If it rains, or we are expecting rain, then the main camp area and classroom areas will have a large tarpaulin suspended above them (on dry summer days these are replaced by green parachutes to provide shade).
The kit list for all courses/bookings requires that all participants bring a waterproof coat with them, whatever the weather. This is partly to keep you dry, but also acts as a windproof coat as our woods can be quite cool & breezy (just as with any woodland).
